Before Isbells came into existence, frontman Gaëtan Vandewoude played in various rock bands. With Isbells, he opted for a more introspective and intimate approach, resulting in countless melancholic indie folk songs. Relationships, daydreams, and human shortcomings form the common thread in his music.
